Case Studies

Jessica Elliott
Jessica Elliott started with BL Hairdressing Training in September 2008. Jessica is working towards a Diploma Level 2 in airdressing and is well on target to complete. Jessica entered BL’s hairdressing photographic competition and came first. She is still at school and completing Hairdressing as an option, and will go towards her GCSE results. Jessica has a natural ability in the practical side of hairdressing and winning the competition has boosted her confidence.

Olivia Appleton
Olivia came to join us in September 2009 on a key stage four programme. She began this course with a negative attitude, which we have now managed to transform into a positive one. Olivia is working towards a NVQ Level 1 in hairdressing and has already completed two of her six units. Originally Olivia began a rotation programme which was a taster in a variety of courses, she enjoyed hairdressing so much she opted to stay and complete an NVQ Level 1. She has demonstrated a high level of work throughout, being awarded a certificate for 100% attendance, entering hair competition, and her dedication to the programme has shown through her commitment.

Paige Hood
Paige is currently working towards a Diploma Level 2 in hairdressing with elements of beauty. At the beginning of the course she expressed difficulty with the assignment work and did not wish to carry on with the course. After a discussion with one of our assessors, she agreed to continue with the programme and has since developed confidence within the industry. Her work since then has improved immensely resulting in her receiving a merit in assignments. She has also entered various competitions one of whichshe came first.
